Default HKS Super Drager

I've recently purchased a 2nd hand HKS Super Drager back box, mid section ans STi cat (from a v5). When this goes on my MY99 UK wagon what sort of difference can I expect given the existing mods are; Magnex back box, ITG panel filter.

I'm expecting a similar noise but is there likely to be a discernable performance difference?
Can anyone recommend the next sensible modification?

I don't fancy chipping it or going to the expense of headers but if anyone can really recommend something it may be a runner.

Default HKS Super Drager - Lagging

Exactly what does lagging accomplish? Will the turbo max boost be affected by the STi cat if I haven'y modded the engine out to turbo section? Is the Sti cat significatly different to the Standard UK Cat?

Wink

Which Cat are you retaining? Downpipe or Mid-section?
Exactly what does lagging accomplish?
This depends on what you are lagging - If its the downpipe this normally reduces the noise levels heard in the car and more importantly reduces the heat levels in the engine bay.

Cheers

You might want to change the ITG panel too.

When I had my car re-mapped I was told I'd have to replace it before they did the map due to the ITG damaging the MAF sensor. My ITG must have been in place for about 6 months and the MAF is fine BTW.

I'll be replacing the downpipe cat with an Sti 5 unit. I'm a bit mystified as to how the ITG filter would have to be replaced. Most people seem to consider them the dogs danglies. How does it damage the MAF?
The lagging business will definitely have to be looked into, so thanks for the advice

Just save for a decat dp and fit that instead, best performance increase exhaust wise.
