Unhappy Boost Creep......

I seem to have some healthy boost creep these days.

I'm only getting 1.2 bar in first, 1.2-1.3 in 2nd, 1.3 in 3rd (which it should be), then 1.3-1.4 in 4th (only if wot from 3rd), then 1.7 in 5th.

also if opened right up from 3.5k revs in 4th it's 1.5bar.

There's nothing on the knocklink (retarded map and WI on).

It never used to do this so I can only assume something has changed.

This is with a TD05/06 and GEMS, standard headers, MY99 (I can't really be bothered listing all the mods).

I also tryed with the dawes device and got pretty much the same results.

Any Ideas on this?

I cant actually go and check anything out now though since a boost hose exploded last night

Cheers for any idea's

Dave.

Could the exploding boost host have been a leaking boost hose in it's previous life?

Best is join compressor outlet to actuator with a known good hose and see what boost you get through the revs and gears. If there's no creep, boost will remain stable at actuator pressure.

It certainly sounds like that hose. Alternatively, it could be your wastegate coking up, though this is very unlikely.

I hope so, trouble is GEMS is map based so it shouldn't affect it. But hopefully thats just the way my mind works.

On another note, is this going to make the turbo overspeed when driving normally?
