Mudflaps catching the road........?
I had STI mudflaps and prodrive springs fitted to my STI yesterday and now something is catching/scraping on bumpy roads and going round roundabouts. I've checked the 'flaps and there doesn't seem to be any scuffing to indicate they'd caught on anything.
Any ideas?
As an aside, I'm not that impressed with the springs, I preferred the original set up.

i have the same setup and my flaps catch the road too, even more since I`ve had the Prodrive springs put on. It`s expected when you see how far you front flaps are from the ground when stationary.
Cheers guys, I'll put up with it until they wear down a bit then!
Forest172- Are you happy with the springs? I've seen loads of posts with people claiming they're the best thing since sliced bread but I can't see it myself. Most unimpressed.

Can't wait to get the springs fitted and anti roll bar done.

Are all these issues with the genuine STI flaps?
My new STI is having the Scott Lowe Automotive flaps instead (much cheaper!) - but are they any more or less prone to dragging on the ground?

If I remember correct when I fitted my STi mud flaps, there are two height settings.
I put mine as low as possible to protect the sills and they catch. Have thought about lifting them up but never got round to it

Had the prodrive spring fitted to my STi7 a while ago and they transformed the handling. Far less body roll around the twisties, and much more predictable / stable round fast corners (around Castle Combe for example). Definitely recommended...
Got the prodrive flaps as well, and I'm regularly grounding them (and yes they are on the high setting). Mind you, I got them to ground before I had the springs done as well
Doesn't seem to damage them though

If I remember correctly, there were two sets of holes in the flap itself . You just need to unscrew the flap, and make sure the screws go through the bottom set of holes (so the flap is higher on the car).
