Well I was finally able to drive my my Impreza (MY96) today after having her fo almost a month!

I do have one question tho, I drove her for about 3 miles when all of a sudden there was strange smell (like the smell of a new engine, possibly oil) that was coming into the car, now the car has been sat on the driveway for roughly 1 month, and after finishing my journey to work (19 miles of motorway driving and 6 miles of dual carriageway) there was no sign of this rogue smell at all, and nor was there any when I got home tonight and left her ideling, is this simply a case of because it was sat on the drive for a month things where 'lubricating' (for want of a better word)?

If not any ideas?

possible water washing oil down onto exhaust and hotter areas etc..

See if it does it again..
