Default Hybrid FMIC and APS induction Kit?

Ok guys, I'm doubting between HAavey's ybrid groupbuy and anAPS FMIC
I've got a 98 with Aircon and a KN group A rally induction kit

After reading ALOT of posts on here about the 2 kits I'm still stuck with a few questions

1) will the APS FMIC kit require less cutting?

2) Is the APS induction kit that you need with the APS FMIC good?
isn't it bad for sucking up rainparticals when located in the place where it is?

3) I do alot of trackdays, so wich kit would suit me best?

I have an APS FMIC on the STi 6 and a Hybrid on the WRX, both wagons.
The APS was twice the cost of the Hybrid.
The amount of cutting for both is similar and not really relevant.
The APS probably performs a little bit better than the Hybrid but not sure it is by the cost differential.
Unless you are fitting an ECU that will get rid of the MAF Sensor DO NOT fit the APS cold air kit.
There is no problem with water ingestion with the APS CAK if fitted properly.

The WRX would not have got a FMIC if it was not for the very good price.

Look on 22B.com in group buys. There is a third GB on now closing 21 June.
