Clutch recommendations required please
My clutch has been confirmed as on it's way out and a mechanic friend of mine has agreed to change it for me but wanted to know if I'm getting the clutch or whether he will supply it (Sachs clutch?)
What I need now is recommendations for a replacement clutch kit for a 93wrx with a scooby ECU (power probably 250-270 ish)
My car is just a weekend toy, I don't do traffic light grand prix and I generally treat the car very well with no abuse so what would you guys recommend?
I'm getting married next year so I can't afford to throw loads of money at it so no AP clutches etc, just a good quality, affordable one that can handle the power I have. I don't intend increasing the power either.
Any recommendations???

only problem is cost
I just can't afford to splash out £400 just on the clutch when I've got a wedding to save for. And I tend to be very easy on my clutch anyway so I wouldn't see the benefit of an AP one. Thanks anyway

£115 for a Borg & Beck on MY99 from Autospares (tel 01158750361).
Dont make the same mistake as me by not having a fresh flywheel ready (or facilities to hand to skim).

I've got three qoutes for the standard subaru clutch kit ranging from £127 to 150 +vat so far but one well known subaru parts dealer says the standard kit is weak and I should use the STI 5 kit at £258 + vat??
I've had the car for almost 4 years and never had a problem with the clutch so I think I should be ok with the standard clutch kit but I just want to know what other, more experienced people think?
