nasty noise emitted from the 'box when changing up into 4th...MY00 Wagon 35k miles (Decat Hayward & Scott and green panel), thinks its the syncro.

have phoned main dealer and they recon £750-£1000 rebuild...help I've only had the damn thing two months and now I'm gonna have to spend my remap money!!!

Any similar symptoms that are easy to fix???
