dont think they will mate too well, as they are phase 2.

unless they will be ok with your exisitng inlet manifold?

you will also need impreza pistons if you ever want to increase boost etc.

not quite right dan...

98 is phase 1.5 so phase 1 inlet will bolt on..

You need to work out the cylinder volume, dish capacity, gasket thickness.. but yes.. should work.

LOL..

as long as the piston will clear the valves then you may be ok, but obviously you need to check valve to piston clearances and also whether the CR change will effect your map..

Dan...

Why is work so boring.. I might pull your pc's power lead out later

we done the head swap thing well worth it i think kept the legacy pistons needed impreza headbolts and a slight mod to a timing cover other than that it runs well.

you cant just shove heads on a different block, you must check the clearances and dish volume etc..

Even with std boost it could run /lean /rich / det etc.

Do the later heads (MY97 on) have the thread in them to secure the coil packs from early imprezas?

there is a bit of a cobble up with some brackets to hold the coil packs in place but is spot on with all readings on a select moniter
