Default Exhaust...

Hi,

Thinking about changing the exhaust on MY00 turbo. Have looked at the Ninja, Hayward and Scott afterburner and Blitz exhausts. Has anybody got any recommendations on what may be the best choice?

It has the PPP upgrade so would the performance gains be worthwhile? I heard rumours of 25-30 horses with the Hayward system, but this is on a a std car so i'm not really sure whether to bother.

Any ideas?
thanks

You might get those kinds of figures with a full system, but make sure you know what to expect from a full decat, eg. the possibility of overboost.

As for recommendations, it really depends on how you want it to sound. Ninja is fairly inoffensive for an aftermarket exhaust, Blitz (Nur Spec) is LOUD. All down to personal preference.

......so go for the Afterburner Vortex. Somewhere between the Ninja and Blitz in sound.
If you do go down the decat route, you will notice a surprising difference in power with a Ninja on a decat and a Afterburner Vortex. I've had both.

ps. Saw a nice set of Anthracite wheels in Regent Street on Monday.

Cheers for the input folks. Probably will be going for the afterburner system, don't really want to go offensively loud! Had a rally spec exhaust on a previous car and although fun at first, the volume does get on your nerves after a while.

Rossi...be forwarned that although the Afterburner will not be as loud as a Blitz...it will be loud if you go down the decat route.... And on a motorway on a decat it can drone. What the Afterburner vortex will sound like as just a back box replacement i don't know.
The Afterburner comes as an angled exit or striaght exit. The angled exit gives the better power gains when combined with a decated system.

Speak to Scoobyworld...they are very friendly and helpful.
