Hi Guys
Got a little problem.
Over the last couple of days I have noticed that every once in a while my car boosts much higher than it should. This happened at the point today where the cut came in (i wasn't trying I was just coming off a roundabout and floored it low down). IT all happened quite quickly but all of a sudden the Knocklink lit up like an Xmas tree (full red) and before I could back off hit fuel cut. Haven't tried hard acceleration since.
What could be causing this. Could it be that the boost solenoid is just dirty and needs cleaning with the old brake cleaner trick or is it something more sinister?
The car is a WRX STi Type R
Any help much appreciated
Cheers

Could be many thinks but as you say clean first your boost solenoid and all related small hoses with brake or carburator cleaner, usualy this is what causes the problem.
Don't forget you have to connect the two green connectors under your steering wheel while turning the key (don't fire the engine).
