Just got back from having the scoob mapped...
Just got back from getting the Power FC mapped by Andy F, and OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!
But also
The reason for the is because I'm suffering major lag. The turbo I have is supposed to spool at around 3.3k, but it's spooling at 4.5k No amount of mapping or wastegate adjustment would solve it, nither would messing about with my boost controller, or putting a dawes on. We even ran it without anything controlling boost, and it still wouldn't spool.
Andy thinks it's either:
A: My headers could be leaking, but we both agree this is unlikely as you would be able to hear it if they were leaking bad enough to kill turbo spool.
B: There's some problem with the Turbo.
I bought the turbo from someone on e-bay, it was virtually brand new, I checked it all over and it appeared fine, and the garage who fitted it certainly didn't notice anything wrong with it, but that's the only thing it could be.
In all fairness when it comes on boost it is unreal, it is so damn quick. Above 4.5k it tries to snap your neck.
So it looks like I'm going to have to get another turbo. Typical of my luck

Drexel - do you still have the old one - maybe that could eliminate the other parts of the car...
Also, did it run OK prior to fitting the FMIC or did you fit the T/C and the I/C at the same time - i.e. all off-boost driving prior to this mapping ?
MArk

I had the turbo and headers fitted at the same time, 2 weeks prior to fitting the FMIC. I was getting the same major lag, but I was running the standard ECU and put the lag down to it not being mapped.

I see - I'm afraid I've no experience with replacement/buggered turbos, so can't help other than my previous suggestion - which is probably some effort..
Up-pipe OK ?
