Overtightend OEM BOV on I/C, any suggestions ?
Hi all,
I accidently overtightened one of the bolts that attaches the BOV to the I/C. Any ideas on what I can do to get it to tighten where it doesn't just keep turning and turning ?
I assume that with the one bolt being loose when the car is under boost it may force a little air outta of there and may lose a little boost ?
Cheers,
Ray

Could also try filling the hole with a metal-loaded epoxy and retapping it, although no guarantees that way on how much strength the repaired threads will have.

Maybe. If the joint is broken there could also be air leaking into the intercooler off-boost.
