Question WRX MY94 flywheel - what fits?

Hi

Seems my flywheel is causing clutch judder on my nice new Exidy Grp N clutch, and I wanna fix it before it shakes the car to bits, and before the Shootout at the end of the month. A 8kg lightened one would be nice, want to avoid the 4 - 5 kg ones for traffic driving issues, and the new billet / forged ones for cost reasons!

What flywheels ( off Scoobies not aftermarket ones really ) fit the jap import wagon WRX MY94 vintage??

Will a UK flywheel fit?

Any particular years, or all non STi's before 2001 bugeyes?
Are the STi's not 1/2 an inch wider, or is that just the clutch plates?

All help welcome!

Thanks

errrmmm UK of same year I believe are the same..

I think they got about 10mm fatter around 99 but not 100% sure.. the newer cars then still use that size I think.

To get a secondhand flywheel look at a breakers..

www.hdcsubaru.com or www.gradea-subaru.co.uk

If you want a decent aftermarket one from someone that knows what they are talking about try mark @ www.lateralperformance.co.uk.

as jgm said.. my 99+ the clutch got 10mm iirc bigger, this will fit fine, but you find the bolt pattern for the 94 clutch wont fit, any flywheel change will need the matching clutch 01+ sti got bigger again.

Argh, I think I understand now, the flywheel will fit to the crank fine but needs an appropriate MY clutch assay.

Damn, 6 weeks ago Grp Exidy went in, but flywheel seems to be causing judder ( had high spots ). Didn't want to buy another clutch so soon really!

Thanks
