Default Turbo blow where Inlet housing meets Exhaust

My Td05 turbo has started chuffing very slightly in between the two turbo housings, These are held together by some sort of crush ring.. Is there some sort of fire ring gasket between these two ?? How much of a job is this to change ??
I had a quick look & it looks like i could just remove / move the inlet side to replace the seal, but would it need a special tool to seal the crush ring ??
Thanks

Dean
