Default Heat Shields Grrrr

I have found that I have a very annoying heat shield rattling about underneath the car. It is the shield the protects the down pipe on a MY00 Classic. The thing is I had no problems with it originally but having Decatted the car for a couple of months and then re-fitting the original Cat Pipe (its a PPP) the bl00dy thing is now rattling like a beauty. Having listened under the car its definitely coming from the downpipe shield. Can this shield be removed ?? Or is it a job of live with it cos it sound awful anytime I go anywhere near a speed hump or just a bumpy piece of road.

Anyone ??
