Question Cure needed for squeaky clutch pedal please

When I depress the clutch pedal it's nice and quiet but makes a squeaky creak (best description that I can think of!) as it starts to come up again. I'm not sure if it's the bush or maybe the return spring that's causing this but it's driving me mad... Access is, of course , a bit awkward so before I start grovelling around underneath the dash has anybody else had this and what's the cure? Thanks.

Try some spray oil / grease on the linkage as it comes out of the bulkhead, under the TMIC ? I heard this can squeak!

Cheers, I'll try that. I never thought of starting under the bonnet - I usually keep the easy options till last...

Did it work? Oiling / greasing the pivot point often does!

Cheers

I oiled the pivot point etc but it made little difference in this case. I applied some silicone grease to the piston push rod at the top of the pedal and that was successful The rod must have been squeaking as it passed through the rubber seal and it took a couple of applications of grease to get rid of it completely. It now sounds as if I have got rid of the mice at last Cheers.

Let us know if this is a lasting solution. I have a slight squeek too but when I tried to cure a similar problem on another car, the choice of lubricant was critical to keeping it fixed.
