GD drive shafts fit GC
All the guys that have fitted 6MT to there GC8 cars, does the front drive shafts fit in with the narower wishbones, or do you need to change them too and add to the camber?
I know the rear GD shafts fit the Gc r180 ok.
cheers
Michael

Thanks Guys,
So they go in without changing the wishbones?
It's for a rally car and the front drive shafts in the GC break in less than 400km competitive, GB does it in less, so 6mt is going in and now there drive shafts, it already has the R180 rear end.

Yeah, they (GD front shafts) fit without changing the wishbones. Seem to be quite a common mod with Gp N teams over here as, as you're aware, they're a bit stronger than the older ones. Even so, to do the old ones within 400k of rallying, that's pretty extreme. Is that a really aggressive diff, rough conditions or both???
Incidentally, think though you might have to do something with the outer CV boots, as, while my memory in this regard is admittedly very hazy, I seem to recall the standard ones rubbing on something.

Very rough and also it is a grp A car, heap more grunt.
yes the latter 01 on front bearings use a larger hub? splins so the bearing housing would have to be used, i also know they machine out the bearing housing to use SVX wheel bearings, about 30% larger.
