Default headers..

hello all ..

i am thinking to add headers and up-pipe to sti7. i installed magnex exhaust system with downpipe and ssqv. will i see much difference with the headers and uppipe ? will power gin be better with both installed or only the uppipe will be ok ?can you please tell me what is the difference between the equl lenth headers and the non equal lenth ?

Equal length means you will loose that flat 4 sound, its basically as it says, all the headers are the same length, uneven are as they sound, one set longer than the other.
The latest jap cars run even length headers, i would get your car mapped if you are intending to fit these though.

agree with tony.
I use equal length headers.. less bassy,. but they scream wonderfully higher up
mapping is a recommended addition with headers gets the best out of em IIRC

Definitely wrap them -- the metalwork gets furiously hot and can melt the insulation on surrounding wiring. I've no direct experience of ceramic coating, but IIRC there are a couple of people who have done this.
