Default STI Transmission oil

Can any of you please help me. I have a V3 STI Coupe and want to change gearbox oil and rear diff oil, i have been told that an STI uses a different oil in its transmission compared to other imprezas, what is the correct, or even best oil i can put in. All suggestions mostly appreciated. Cheers

Motul GEAR 300 for trans/diff or Redline MT-90 for trans, Redline 75W90NS for rear diff

Castrol Syntrax is good for both front/gearbox and also the rear diffs in STIs. It is semi-synthetic and will give you a smoother gearchange than fully synthetic gear oils. From memory you need just under 4 litres in the front and under 1 (0.8) litres in the rear diff.
