rattling turbo bearings........ Please help
I have just had a Blitz nur spec r and magnex downpipe fitted to my MY99 RB5. They garage who fitted mentioned that the turbo bearings where going as there was a rattling noise coming from the turbo. Does this sound right as the car has only done 27k. He didn't seem to sure about himself!!! Have I got anything to worry about as I'm not sure to believe him.

You will get more resenance with the downpipe so you will hear the turbo more, it could just be this, if you were to get a failure though you would know about it due to the white smoke out of the rear of your car, but it will be quite hard to tell if your turbo is on its way out by just listening to it unless your pushing your car.

Perfectly correct above too there'd be smoke all over the place if the bearings were on their way out. And you can hear lots more going on when the cat's off.
Heat shields etc are the noise.
