Default PLEASE HELP: COIL PACKS NEED REPLACEMENT

I have just had a service at Prosport for my Legacy Turbo Estate. Peter and the rest of the team did a great job, were really helpful and found some problems!!! One of them being a misfire. They reckon that it may be the coil packs (the car is dead old, J-reg with 124,000 miles).

I read a thread here once mentioning some really good coil pack by Bosch I think. I need to know what kind of improvement over standards will the Bosch ones produce. Where I can get them from? Are the coil pack for the Legacy the same as the Impreza?

Also, Iridium spark plugs...my car is running at higher boost and I have been advised to get these fitted. Are the NGK ones as good as the HKS or Blitz equivalent and if so where can I get them from (HKS, Blitz or NGK). Are the same plugs as used on Impreza's

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can get some bosch coils from Oz or fit newer wasted spark coil packs.. I'll reply further when I am sober.

Thumbs up

Frans,

My Legacy is a J-reg 1991 or 1992. I am looking to get uprated coil packs as I might as well if they need replacing.

Jolly Green Monster and merlin,

1. What are the Bosch OZ coil packs?
2. Where can I get them from, I am based in the Northwest?
3. Will they improve anything performance wise?

I need them ASAP so a quick response would be greatly appreciated.

Cheer for the replies.

Aaquil.
