Smile NGK Spark Plugs!

Sorry cant remember who was asking about Iridium plugs from NGK,for a WRX turbo the correct plugs are BKR6EIX,Halfords did get it right!!!
Ive just spoken to techie expert at NGK themselves on phone and he confirmed the description.

Thanks for that Carl - I bought and fitted the exact same Iridium plugs on MY00UKTUB and was worried whether they were the correct ones. I do belive the BKR6EIX-11 are for the N/A models (spot the difference )

Just out of interest Carl, did you have to Gap the NGK Iridiums before you fitted them ?

Cheers

Karl

Karl,
The plugs where pre-set,the NGK techie confirmed this at .8-9,you only have to alter the setting if its been heavily modded.

Thats interesting - well my car is a MY00 Uk Turbo with PPP + Decat D/P + vortex BB - wouldn't say this was heavily modded.

However I thought that the gap for plugs on Turbos was .7-8 ?? whether modded or not ?? Anyone carre to comment ?

ALWAYS check the gap. I have found odd ones fairly closed up. On the WRX I run NGK PRF 7B and gap at .7. Some guys run at .6.
