Question Smokey idle?

Hi all

Since having Gruppe-S headers fitted, I occasionally get dark coloured oil smelling smoke coming out of the exhaust when the car idles.

Does anyone know what could be causing this please?

Thanks

Judge

do you think this would have been caused by fitting the headers?

Thanks

More than likely a seal on the turbo gone.. not caused directly by the headers other than you giving it welly to see what difference the headers made..

warming up and cooling down religiously is a must to try and keep them from going..

Keep an eye on you oil level!

thanks, JGM

excuse the basic question, but if the turbo seal has gone, is this a straight forward job to fix or can I leave it as is?

Thanks

no you cannot leave it.. you need to get it checked to find for sure if it is oil and then sort it.. either headgasket or turbo..

Hi

just thought I'd give an update on this.

After a couple sporty runs, the problem seems to have cleared by itself. No more smoke at idle. Wierd huh?
