Default Setting AVC-R for 6 speed gearbox...

What do I need to do to get the AVC-R configured for my 6 speed when I fit it this weekend? Will setting up the gear judge configuration be enough?

Sorry, seems a dumb question - but I find no reference in the manual relating to 5 or 6 speed!

Thanks, Richard

Dowser,

Do you mean there is a special function to acces a 6th speed setting in the AVCR ?

Otherwise, you can use the method I applied on several STi 8, including mine :

Set gear judge for AVCR 5th according 5th gear rpm/spd ratio.
Then AVCR 5th gear judge & start duty applies to both 5th and 6th.
Adjust start duty according to 6th gear resisting torque value.
This way, you will get slightly "overdamped" boost in 5th, not a great deal, but 6th will be perfectly adjustable, especially to control overshoot.

Also, you consider this option:
Gear judge for AVCR 5th is set up according actual 6th gear rpm/spd ratio.
Then AVCR 4th gear judge & start duty applies to both 4th and 5th, with start duty tuned according to 5th gear resisting torque value.

This way, you will get slightly "overdamped" boost in 4th, but 5th et 6th will be perfectly adjustable.

Obv. you can proceed by grouping any other gears such as 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 3rd, etc...

Thanks. Some fo the posts I read on the Supra forum suggests they have access to 6th gear parameters. My account should be activated now, so I'll post a question on their forums.

Keep me updated, in case I missed some hidden feature !

(you know, I mean like some Playstation games : arrow down, arrow up, arrow down, arrow up and you get some extra functions )
