Default PPP - how loud??!!

Just had it done on MY03. It's a lot louder than the tester I tried! I'm shrinking in my seat trying to hide in traffic!

Have they changed the spec?

It can't be that loud Jerry! It's no where near a full decat sound and only gets fairly close to that level when under full acceleration. If yours sounds that bad at idling speeds, perhaps the exhaust is not reconnected properly. This is of course assuming you haven't just traded in your Lexus before moving to the scooby LOL!

Cheers

It's not too bad on tickover, but a lot louder than I expected! Not a noise fan, and though I expected more volume, just didn't expect that much. It's louder than the 03 I tested for sure.
I know mine is not the fashionable opinion. Dr Evil laughed his head off when he heard it - he knows how I hate big bore boomers! He said it wouldn't be too bad - and I'd nearly come to terms with the zorst size...

I like the way it goes though!

I keep telling him how much I like Audis too. I know, I know....

Any exhaust leak problem?
Did you change gaskets with the new middle section/back box?
Just a thought!

Jim

It was done with the PPP by the dealership yesterday. Stuck my head under it this morning and doesn't seem to be leaking anywhere, but it just booms like one of my old cars years ago when the back-box blew a hole!

I'll have to give it some time to see if I can get used to it though.
I may go back and see if there's another PPP'd 03 I can compare it to.
I most certainly like the transformed performance though!

Dealer said they put all the right bits back in! - they're going to contact Prodrive and see what they say. Maybe put the standard box back on if Prodrive approve.
If not spoke to TSL too, could try the Group N twin tailpipe.
