what's the best engine oil to use

i'm more interested in the lower figure
i've been told that it is less stressfull on the engine in its cold st8 because it flows easier
can anyone confirm this for me

A tad on the thin side, I would have thought, unless you live in Siberia... Unless it's a "running in" oil. How many miles has the car done?
The oils S.B. has listed seem to be the most popular. I use Motul.

Do Not put 0W or 5W anything in any Subaru turbo you will break the engine. 10W is the lowest you dare go. This subject has come up many times and I cannot stress the importance of it.
