Would a P1 backbox fit straight on as a direct replacment to a stand MY97 exhaust backbox?
If so, are they easy to fit? (from the perspective of someone who only just knows which end of a screw driver to use )
Cheers

You are of course absolutely correct. I shall consult my insurance company before fitting the back box and take out any additional cover needed

hehehe
It's only taken 4 weeks for me to want to make slight changes.
Almost brought some MY01 17" wheels earlier this week (wrong tyre size sadly).
Also thinking about getting some Eibach springs fitted, oh and the bump steer mod as well.
Will I be happy then? hopefully. Will AXA like it? **** knows. I can't see them stinging me too much for bigger wheels, Eibachs...maybe, bumpsteer... P1 back box... shhhhh

AndyMc, After a long debate I think we all decided that the MY01 17" wheels with the stock RE011 215/45r17 tyres would rub if the car was fully loaded with passengers/cargo. They would also throw the speedo out slightly.
IainD has fitted the MY01 alloys to his MY96 and has the correct (for our year car) tyre size on 215/40r17. You can see his car with them on in this thread...

If AXA are anything like Norwich Union Direct were with my mods (17" wheels and Magnex backbox) you might be in for an unpleasant surprise - my premium went up from around £1,400 to over £1,800!

Are you sure about my01 wheels/tyres not fitting.I know someone with a my95 that's fitted them and has no problems with rubbing despite driving on some of the most demanding roads in North Wales.
