Anyone have a short shift on their scoobys? i am interested in getting one, are they as fun as the adverts claim?
Would jittery clutch be a problem , i seem to have the same problem many are having with notchy gear change at 1st and reverse.
If anyone knows of some good places to find them let us know.
Thnx for your time chaps and chapesses

Had mine done about a year ago now. It's a Subaru one, and so very expensive!
Definitely an improvement, but I think common wisdom says that it is less of a difference on later cars.
Having said that mine feels better and it's a 99.
If you can get one quite cheap, I would say it is well worth it.

I've got an my95 and fitted a GGR shortshift link. Made a massive difference feels alot shorter throw and tighter much fun had so far.
Fitted mine myself took about an hour. If you do get one and fit it youself look out for the metal plate that holds the lower gator in place and it's edges are razor sharp!!! I've got the three remaining fingers to prove it
Had no problems with jittering clutch or notchy gearand it only cost about £80. Bargain!!

Falkland were doing them for £65 + vat a while back. As with all lever only jobs, you may need to file out the old frame a little to make sure 1st can be selected without touching it - mine need 1-2mm's dressing at the corner.

Same hear. Got it from scoobynet and fitted it myself in 2 hours.
The only reason it took that long was having to remove the circlip from under the car (bottom of gearstick between body and rear propshaft.)and than refitting it on the new one once in place.
Well worth it!
