Anybody know approx how much fuel is left when the low fuel light comes on?
Conversely, when my warning light comes on, I can fill with around 50 litres and most I have got in at one time is around 55 litres.

The fuel tank in all Phase 2 Imprezas is 60 Litres. The low Fuel warning light comes on at 11 litres (it might be 10 litres as I don't have the handbook in front of me and I am recalling this from memory)

Graham,
I would say that when your warning light comes on you've still got 10 litres left in the tank.
The SIDC FAQ has got some info about the fuel gauge/tank sizes for various MYs/Types.

Yes, but....
Once the light has come on, at what point can I expect to run out? Do I still have 10 usable litres subject to cornering G forces?
My previous car, an SD1 Vitesse had a tank supposedly of 65 litres but max fill was never more than around 56 even having run out!
My light came on last night and I want to know if I stand a reasonable chance of getting some more Optimax before spluttering to an embarrassing stop or whether I need a slight top up of NUL.

Just to add some more in this thread...
IMHO isn't right to leave your Subaru with only 5-10 liters of fuel as you risk to running lean due to low fuel! I heard that some cars - for this reason - have 2 fuel tanks, the main and one auxiliary near the engine!

I ran mine for about 30 miles today with the warning light on continuously. I then filled up and it took 53 litres. I would expect that there is at least 10 litres (and probably more) left when warning comes on.
I have a MY98 (UK).

I tend to agree, but it was circumstances that led to the situation.
For info, I put in 56.6 litres and it had the occasional stutter on hardish acceleration or cornering. Can anyone advise on more than that, not having run out?
