My personal preference is Motul 300v 15w50, but I haven't used any of the alternatives, so I can't really comment. Compared to Castrol Magnatec 10w40, which is what the dealer I bought the car off had serviced it with, it's quietened the engine a tad, and the oil pressure light goes out sooner when starting. UK MY00 35K miles.

I know, I was getting pretty worried about it. It wasn't doing it all the time with the Magnatec, but often enough for me to raise an eyebrow. When it did it, it would usually still be on for about half a second after the engine had fired. I spoke to the dealer from whence it came, and they said not to worry about it. If it stayed on for longer after the engine had fired, then they said it should be looked at... hmm...
Anyway, with the Motul in, the light is always out before the engine fires. Also, after changing the oil, the mechanic said it took 20 seconds of dry-cranking for the light to extinguish, which I think is about right, isn't it...?

Yup. Yeah I had the phantom oil thingy too. And yeah, I'm using Magnatec at the moment untill my engine reaches at least 3000-4000 miles. Don't scare me dude.
