The correct grade is 75w/90. Couldn't tell you which oil your particular dealer uses as it's not like the entire UK dealer chain uses the same stuff. Different dealers/chains tend to use what they can get cheapest.
If you're looking for a recommendation, pick any one of Mobil 1 SHC, Castrol Syntrax, Silkolene Syn5, Redline Shockproof Lightweight and you'll be happy. If all you're doing is topping up the level, it's not necessary to match the exact brand of oil the dealer used.

Cheers Greasemonkey, yeah just need to top it up a bit, and was wondering whether I could just add some similar oil safely!? now I know the grade, I can do that!
May change to the Redline stuff later on as lots of people recommend it!
How much does the gearbox hold?? out of interest.

Exact capacity depends on whether you've got a phase one (MY98 and earlier) or phase two (MY99 and onward) box. Figure on between 3.3 and 3.5 litres, so either way you'll be needing four to give some extra for topping-up.
It's not a bad idea to run the level a little way above the "full" hole on the dipstick, so don't worry if you go over a bit when you're filling.
