I have my99 impreza with PPP.

I am giong to buy a downpipe to be fitted at my next service (Sept). The Falkland is slihtly cheaper at £161.18 +vat (inc carriage to me) compared to scoobysport at £190 +vat again inc carriage.

Anyone got any suggestions as to which is best for performance / sound?

I am waiting for Falkland to get stock of their new design downpipe. I chose them over Scoobysport merely because I am literally 50 times nearer. However, the new Falkland pipe is of the twin dump variety which apparently means that the exhaust gases from the turbo are kept separate from the rest of the exhaust gases which theoretically is supposed to give flow and therefore power advantages.

Falkland's pipe is being made by Magnex, and the reason for the delay is apparently the fitting to the gearbox was not right on the initial production.

Mike -- I know you're coming to Trax but will you have a trade stand? The reason I ask is I'm interested in buying a complete exhaust system, and as well as hearing it I'd like to see it, which is a bit difficult when it's underneath a car

Nice looking piece of kit Mike but what is the advantage in terms of extra power for extra dosh. Is it significant compared to Falkland/SS standard DP? Any test results to see?

Hi.

I *may* not get to TRAX, not certain yet.
Ours is a 3" system all the way through, our dump pipe is also not as restrictive as some other manufacturers either.

I don't have any before/after figures available unfortunately, but I ran 293BHP at PE a couple of weeks ago, (with a faulty MAF sensor and failed Lambda Sensor) and only peaking at 15PSI boost. (different restrictor).

You would feel a noticeable increase over any 2.5" system, particularly the OEM one.

John
Any garage should be able to fit it for you.

Mike.

Mike
How do you fit your 3" downpipe to the standard system which is 2.5"
Do you make one to fit or do you have to buy the whole system?

Mike -- 293 bhp from what? Do you have a UK car or an import? Does it have any other mods? Still interested in buying your complete system, but would like to see 'n' hear beforehand.
