My house is up for sale at the mo' - it should free up a bit of cash to spend

What parts should i be cosidering to modify my Sti5 for a bit more power ? (hopefully about £1000 to spend)

Currently have :

Dastek Unichip
Knocklink
Lamdalink
Boost gauge
Full de-cat
(big brakes! )

Where do i start ? ? all advice appreciated

id probably go for:

knocklink
boost gauge
anti-bumpsteer mod with alk and geometry settings (unless u purely are after straight-line power)
full decat.. try to get one 2nd hand

in that order

that should run close to your budget, with the rest saving towards a remap ecu.

next stage would be injectors, uprated fuel pump, fmic & headers with ecu remap to get the most out of them

uprate brakes & tyres when the old ones are worn.. unless you're planning on doing track days and/or find the standard ones totally useless and then uprate them asap.

just my opinion

so, the next stage should be :
injectors, uprated fuel pump, fmic & headers with ecu remap to get the most out of them

how does this give me more power ?

is it because i can run more boost with the fmic/fuel pump ?

I understand that some power will come from the headers.

anyone else got an opinion, or does look to be the answer :

injectors, uprated fuel pump, fmic & headers with ecu remap to get the most out of them

Wink

book yourself a driving course with Don Palmer and have loads of change for toys.

stopped smoking recently, and am saving the ciggie money to go on his course which is reputedly one of the best.
