Question

Anyone know what the STI V gearbox partnos are..specifically the Third Gear ring.

There is a rumour that they are the same as the UK Phase II car which will save me much time and money

If anyone knows it would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Trout

Those boxes should have twin baulk rings on all gears, in which case you will not be able to use any other box parts.

Well, it would appear that the gearsets from the STI and the UK are in fact the same!!!!!

So why does an STI gearbox cost SO much. Am I mistaken - part numbers match!

Alex,

from what I have seen so far on the MY99 car it is only the final drive is different.

If there is any doubt over a specific part we have ways of crosschecking the partnos

Cheers,
