Exclamation

Raymond,

They vary from car to car, and year to year!

Apparently it's meant to be a blue wire on the UK MY99, but on my one it was white.

You need to find someone with the workshop manuals, and double check with your loom, and not necessary believe the colour coding they stipulate!

Lucky for me, I had 'Awesome' Lawson fit mine, so it was checked and rechecked.

Sorry it doesn't answer your question specifically!

Cheers
Andy

I have a Lumenition AFR meter (similar to LambdaLink) to fit and need to pick up 2 wires at the ECU. These are the oxygen sensor signal output and oxygen sensor ground - could anybody tell me what the colour codes for these wires are, please? Thanks.

Raymond.

Cheers, Andy. So, as usual, the only consistency is inconsistency Guess I'll have to be nice to my dealer again

you don't need the colour code, what you need is the link manual for that year. it will have diagrams of all the wire into the ecu connectors at the back. i can send you the MY99 on if that is what you want.

Sam,

Thanks for your offer but mine's a MY98, which I should have said earlier. I spoke to a contact at my dealer's at lunch time and he's going to check the manuals for me - it will probably cost me a pint, though

Just done this myself.

Mine is a 96 UK. The wires going straight into the Lambda were red, black and white. White is the signal out and black is ground.

If the colours on yours don't match this, meter the 3 wires with the car running. The signal out wire will have 5 volts on it. ground will be 0 volts and the other will have 12 volts on it.

Main dealer hadn't a clue when I asked them !!!

Hope this helps.

Rich

Thanks, Rich.

The wires from my sensor are Yellow/Red, Black/White and plain Blue. The blue one is the fella and the meter worked first time (phew!) I find it a bit Knight Riderish, though, with lights flashing quickly up and down the scale all the time as the ECU adjusts the mixture - is the LamdaLink the same? There is a facility that dims the LEDs when the car lights are switched on and I think that I'll rewire that through a switch so that I can dim them in daylight as well. On the plus side, it lights up the highest green light under full boost conditions so the car isn't running weak after all my mods (phew again!) So, what to fit next? A KnockLink would be useful but I'm not sure that I want any more flashing lights!!
