Gruppe-S headers fitted, excessive gas?

Hi all
please excuse this basic question:
I've just had Gruppe-S headers fitted and sometimes when the car is stationary, I can see the excessive exhaust gases coming out from the backbox. It looks like an old car that has been badly tuned and it smells horrible.
Is this to be expected after Gruppe-S headers are fitted?
