Question

Having just had a SS downpipe fitted to my MY00 and with a straight thru centre about to go on I'm wondering if I need to be monitoring the mixture at all. I've read that some people suggest getting a Lambda link fitted; would an air/fuel ratio gauge do the same thing?
Also, does a freer flowing exhaust have any effects on the mixture or should I only worry if and when I start changing filters and such like?
Cheers.
