high rev gear change trouble

i have a 95 5 door turbo and cannot change from 1st to 2nd at revs higher than 3500 without serious crunching, all other changes are fine at the moment and a low rev change is easy, can anyone help me!

oh, you think that will be costly?
is it much of a job
is it only the second gear synchro or do you think the rest will be going too, can you recommend anyone to talk to about it?

Sounds like you need 1/2nd gears and synchro's 
Cost I would guess at about £1000 at dealer rates. Sorry.

PS - Drive it easy and do the job sooner rather than later as debris in the gearbox could do more damage.
