Grinding the flywheel?

Hard to tell until the G/box is out and the clutch is out as to how bad condition the flywheel is in, I take it you mean by "grinding" you actually mean skimming. This is quite a specialist task and not something most garages are capable of due to the requirement of expensive lathes and balancing machines. If the G/box is off might as well as fit a lightened one IMO if you've got the cash available.

I think John is spot-on. Just changed the clutch on my STiv3 as it started to slip on very hard starts. Flywheeel perfect, but you can find an 8 Kg wheel in For Sale here, check-out Pavlo's deal!
