I MAY (TOWERS!) be looking at replacing my 2.5" Scoobysport downpipe and centre section for a 3" alternative. I need to know whether the 3" one will mate up with a TSL firestorm backbox and what are the better 3" options?
Cheers, John

I bought a Firestorm backbox to go on my existing 3" system, had to change it as it was 'blowing' at the join. Shame as it's one of the best sounding back boxes that compliments the flat four burble.

Darwins Theory of Evolution was going to cost too much for what would basically be a newer, not faster, car with more running costs. I think im better off sticking with what i have for now and possibly going silly with it. Six numbers on the weekends lottery would help!

The better 3" systems follow a different route to the conventional systems, much more direct, meaning that you need to change the center pipe and backbox.
H&S will change the 3->2.5 reducer on your downpipe to a full 3" pipe for £35+VAT - assuming that your Scoobysport DP is actually an H&S one.

Triple X - I would change the whole system for somthing new. How loud do you want to go, I can't recommend a 5Zigen enough. Thats what I went to after the Firestorm, one of the best looking and made exhaust's I have seen. If you want a pic, I can either mail you or Post one.

I currently have a Firestorm and straight through system so obviously the noise doesnt bother me!
Cheers m8, John
