Since the last service I have noticed a 'hicup' when re-applying the throttle below about 2000 revs, usually after slowing from speed, but only when it's warm????????
I suppose I should get Beechdales to fix it but it's not been convenient for me to book it back in yet.
Is it something simple like a sensor not connected or something?
Chris

Mate,
I have the same problem with my96, since its been in and had it's 60k service its been playing up, have taken it back twice and they cant find a single thing wrong with it, the fuel pressure is fine, the memory is clean!!!!!!!
It seemed to have stopped yesterday, maybe you need to give it a good thrashin on the motorway, to give everything a good clear out, i dont know, but my seems to have stopped doing it!

sounds similar to a problem I've had for 6 months -
car hesitates on light throttle at 1500-3500 revs.
totally intermittent, but only does it when hot.
Fine on anything more than about 25% throttle.
99% cured by cleaning MAF sensor with electrical cleaner.

It does seem to go away, but that's only because I don't get to drive it hard very often.
First noticed it after a long bypass run then pulling away from a roundabout.
It definitely gets worse the longer you drive it, after my last blast around Wales it was even doing it up to 2500 RPM
Will try the cures suggested and let you know
Chris
Totally Baffled!

Some of the things I've read in previous threads on this kind of thing include coil packs and the rubber insulation between them and the plug itself - disturbed when servicing - and if the oil level is too high then wastegate solenoid gives problems.
My car was doing this but a recent plug change seems to have sorted it. Coil packs probably to be changed if it comes back.

sonds very like the problem with mine - it got worse when the car was hot....
really used to spoil my fun - take the car out for a good thrash, then the moment you slow down (roundabouts, 30 zones etc etc) the bugger starts hiccuping...
cleaning the MAF sensor seems to have cured it - the only time it's done it since then was in the wet, and only a little bit.
Cleaning the sensor's really easy - just squirt electrical cleaner onto the actual hot film/wire bit - it only took about 15mins to take it off, clean it and replace.
On mine you could see the dirt on it, and it looked much cleaner afterwards.
btw - Charlie WHiskey Scooby you are cleared for takeoff.......sorry couldn't resist
