Has any one heard of JASMA exhausts
If so are they any good?

My MY94 WRX has an after market exhaust on it which came from Japan. There is a stamp on the backbox that says JASMA. From what I have found out this is an organisation that only test exhaust for noise pollution and the likes. Their home page is

I have 1 of those too. Removed from car now, is a 1 piece (yes, that's right)centre and back box
Drainpipe special with just the JASMA plate on it and a serial number.

I had a look into it recently, but didn't come up with any useful info.....

Bruce is correct I think.

My Apexi exhaust has a small plate on the underside of the back box with JASMA stamped on it.

As was said, its something to do with approvals etc.
