Help! Crankcase plug re DIY Breather
#1
Guys
Just hooked up my DIY oil breather. I have a question regarding the crankcase plug....
Crankcase plug (near turbo) has 2 outlets. One is verticle upward (connecting to intake) and one is horizontal (connecting to PCV).
I bunged up the intake, PCV and vertical crankcase port. I then connected fuel hose to the horizontal plug and ran hose off to side of left (passenger) side firewall.....
My concern is whether the breather is efficient since if I had connected to the vertical plug, the crankcase can vent straight up, whereas now, the crankcase blowby cannot escape upwards and must find its way out the side plug and flow through the hose.
I did this as it is much neater and it prevents the hose from collapsing if I tried to bend the hose from the vertical plug at 90 Deg angle under the intercooler....
Please advise if this setup is ok..... Also, is the plastic adapter connected to the crankcase outlet just a simple T or is there direction in the flow.....
Thanks!
