fitting dawes device
#1
got a dawes device today and was wondering where it goes. there was a boost controller on the car previously but that was removed (long story) so i think it goes where the previous boost controller went. I have labeled the pipe with a big arrow where i believe it goes. If im wrong could someone correct me.

Not sure about yours as it looks like an earlier model. but heres' mine (MY98 UK)
On mine it replaces the standard 'T' piece piping between the actuator and the inlet manifold. note the hose from the boost solenoid is blocked off.
hope this helps

If you look under the inlet to turbo pipe you will see a pipe that comes off a nipple outlet on the turbo case , if you follow this it goes to the solenoid valve . Pull the pipe off the turbo and cap it off with something, connect the dawes onto the turbo outlet nipple then look at the actuator there is a pipe going to that also from the solenoid valve pull this off and connect the other end of the dawes to the actuator try to keep the pipe work between the two as short as possible .i found removing the inlet to turbo pipe gave more room to fit it just remember when you put this pipe back to make sure the jubile clips are all tight .i would also put some cable ties on the dawes pipes and the grey pipe supplied will push onto the nipples on the actuator and turbo just a tight fit if you wet the nipple first it will slide on easily .then it is a matter of adjusting the dawes to the desired boost
