Subaru replacement Air filter
Hi,
I have a my99 with a scooby sport back box, will replacing the airflter with the Subaru replacement one make any difference.
The cars in for a service today so thought may be good time to have them put it on, but is it worth it?????
Dave.

The filter was sucked into the engine, neatly compressed, spat into the exhaust and now firmly resides in the Scorpion where it does a commendable job of reducing noise!!
I have a K&N panel filter and find no discernable difference?

Thanks for the replies.
I did have them replace the filter with there sporty one (whatever its called) and I have got to say it has made quite a difference. It seems to be more responsive throughout gear changes and pulling away. Also I can stay in 5th gear a lot longer now.
Seems to be a worthy upgrade.
Also in this post you mention removing the resonator, what does that do?
Cheers,
Dave.
