I've posted this question a few times but with differing opinions.Can someone please tell me once and for all whether a STi4 has a centre cat.I need to know this quite urgently .Thanks in advance, Deep.

There is NO cat. on Aussie and Japan spec STi's. My Japan spec WRX ver 4 hasnt got one either (as witnessed by Chan). Even though te centre pipe is essentially straigh through, many would conclude that the pipe diameter of 2.25" is too small for good power gains.

Thank you Chan and Jan(you rythme!!),I think this is the second time you guys have answered my questions.The confusing thing is that some tuners over here reckon that some of the STi4's had a mid cat and that the STi 5's did not.Thank you very much ffor your help though again
ps are you all really rich in Brunei?If so could you please send me a new STi7 .

Deep.

I've been told that early STi4s don't have a centre cat where as later and onward models do. Myth or not I don't know, but I do know that a standard S/S backbox on my STi4 is a lot louder than on a UK car, although that could be down to other factors such as turbo and valve size.
I've been no help whatsoever have I......
