Question

Does anyone have one fitted? I'm still on the hunt for a DP and there are many options.

Are you happy with it?
How loud?
Does it have a tie in point for the sensor?

The reason I ask is HKS are top quality but this seems to be comparitavely cheap against SS etc.

I have one fitted to my MY95 WRX. It has a sensor point but it had to be blocked off on my car, I understand the earlier cars have it located elsewhere.
It has made the turbo spool up much sooner than the standard exhaust, and has made a noticeable difference.
I have the full Super Drager and it is very loud, also gives some nice pops when changing gears from high revs. Not sure how much difference the DP on it's own would make to the noise, but you would probably hear the turbo more.

Ken,

Thanks for that, one happy user is enough for me! I already have the full Magnex job on there so it should be good.

Anyone else?

i've also got a full superdrager system including the downpipe- absolutely superb! spool up time on my93 wrx has improved dramatically. The downpipe is cheaper than s/s etc because it only has one exit for the gases from the turbo, unlike s/s bpm etc who have two. I think this is right but im no mechanic. do a search as i remember firefox commenting on the hks downpipe with something like its the only piece of kit made by them which doesnt impress him!! however im very happy with mine!!! I got a full system but if i was just buying a downpipe i would probably go the s/s or bpm route. pumpers.

Firefox may have said that - I know I definately did. I have quite a bit of HKS stuff on my motor, including HKS Hiper exhaust.

I was disappointed at the finish of the HKS item - also it has a plain flange and so does not offer any benefit in better handling of the wastegate gases.

The HKS d/p will improve performance by removing the cat and enabling the turbo to have more freedom - however unless the design has changed it is certainly more compromised than either the Scoobysport or BPM item.

It's price probably reflects the return on investment you get from it.

Just for the record.
The Scoobysport d/p has only one exit for the gases.
