Ive got a 98 2.0 sport, and i cant decide whether to get a afterburner backbox or a ninja??? HELP ME PLEASE!
Does the afterburner sound alot better than the ninja, the ninja is cheaper and sounds nice, but i cant decide if the afterburner is that much better to justify spending more money?

With an Afterburner won't it be a sheep in wolf's clothing?

The Afterburner Vortex does it for me everytime! the best!

one good point of this exhaust (taken from scoobyworld.co.uk)

"Whilst we have kept the great Afterburner exhaust note, we have greatly improved the gas extraction capabilities of the exhaust by reducing the pipework bends to a bare minimum (see image on right), and introducing an almost unique spiralled baffle section, resulting in the gasses literally being spun out of the exhaust."

Thinking of getting a vortex myself, but doesnt that winding actually restrict air flow instead?

Anyone got any decibel figures for them? I've all but decided I dont want something Blitz Nur Spec loud but not sure if the Firestorm and Afterburners are far off, currently using a scoobysport which needs to be just a tad louder and deeper!

No it doesn't - check out the dyno resultshere

Afterburner is not as loud as a Blitz but is louder and deeper than a Scoobysport. The perfect solution.

UHF - just to confirm, the Vortex spiralled baffle increases power between 5k and 6k revs by quite a considerable amount, which means the power curves continues to climb rather than starting to drop off.

Hop this helps

Neil

We took some dB(A) noise readings on the rolling road day which reported around 93dB at 4k on WRX03

We'll take some more at various revs later next week.

cheers

Neil

Anyone got photos of an installed vortex ? I need to decide if the angled exit (BB is angled off centre to improve flow) affects the looks. Anyone got any shots from the back of the car ?

Not sure angled it is but I remember it defiantely being off centre to the small cut-out in the bumper ?
