Question

Hi guys

I am interested in a full exhaust system (i.e. decat) but don't wan to **** around swapping stuff come MOT time. Hence, I will get a back box and want to know, if you could swap either the centre section or the downpipe, and hence lose one of the cats, which would you chosse and why? Will losing one cat permit the car to pass MOT emissions?

Cheers

Mike

I have just got a full system myself (decat) because I have two yrs before my first MOT.

As far as I am aware you can definitely pass with only the cat in the down pipe, its unlikely that you would pass with only the centre section catalyst, so no probs removing the center section.

An alternative is fit a down pipe with a less restrictive cat I know graham goode
