OK this questions probably been asked a million times but I want a Decat downpipe and was wondering wether it will effect my warranty or not, how many of you have asked your dealer? what kind of reply did you get.

Jake.
I think it depends on the dealer. If you fit a d/p and then your gearbox fails, they're unlikely to try and blame the d/p. The only problem may occur if the turbo or something was to go, but I've never heard of that.
My dealer knew about my exhaust and induction kit, but I still got an engine and three gearboxes under warranty. Fat lot of good it did me though, they only lasted 10,000 miles!

It's one or the other - unless you know an 'accomodating' dealer. Like Stef, I had a dp + other 'bits' and never had a problem - futhermore, the dealer fitted the dp and 'bits'

Jake,

Give your local dealer a call and ask to speak to the Service Manager Ask him that question and see what he says....
